Stanford has been a wonderful experience for me and I am sad that I am at the end of my journey here. Stanford has provided me with ample resources, distinguished professors, and challenging classes. Stanford has so many organizations or student clubs to partake in. The weather and beauty of the campus is the cherry on top that makes Stanford great.

Stanford is primarily a graduate-level-focused institution that admits 3 to 4x more students for masters programs than for undergrad degrees. Therefore, do yourself a favor, don't stress; earn your UG degree elsewhere (unless you like extreme pressure or CS), do very well, then apply as a grad student. That's what I did. Stanford, to me, is like an excellent. ' finishing school' that helps me build my network, income potential, and skill set.

Stanford has developed a reputation as one of the country's great institutions of higher education, consistently ranking in the top 10 national universities. In addition to outstanding academics, Stanford is known for its great return on investment and entrepreneurial student body. This marks the second year in a row that Stanford is the most selective college in the country, a title that was traditionally held by Harvard until last year. Stanford accepted 2,138 of the 42,167 student applicants for the Class of 2018.They come from diverse backgrounds, both academically and ethnically. Students are optimistic, fun, and intellectual. Bright, creative, career-oriented, friendly, socially liberal and relaxed. Students at Stanford come from around the world and will likely be some of the most interesting people you will ever meet.Stanford is among the world's leading research and teaching universities. It aspires not only to provide education but also to develop individuals.

Stanford offers so many resources to students that it gets kind of overwhelming where to explore first and there is never enough time to do it all. I wish I can go back because the wealth of knowledge at Stanford seems limitless. The campus is huge so everything is available to you since it feels like a city which is extremely convenient for the busy student. I have no complaints about Stanford, but I do miss being a student there.

I have experience with several top US and European Universities. Each has its strength. But overall, Stanford is the best. It is hard to describe all aspects of the Stanford's advantages (NYT had an excellent article about this). I would like to use a simple measure that is correlated with Student experience. Stanford spent the most money per student among all Universities in the world (annual budget/number of students). While financial resource is not everything, it is highly correlated with the educational experience a student can have and it is the best single number we can use to assess the quality of a University (or any organization). And of course, the reason that Stanford has the most financial resource (dont confuse this with endowment which is only one source of income for Universities) is related to the success of its research activities and its graduates. In addition to what the University can offer, students have access to the high tech companies in the Silicon Valley for internship/externship. Stanford is also the only comprehensive university among the top ranked schools with law, medicine, engineering, education, sustainability/environment, in addition to liberal arts disciplines. Other excellent top schools typically miss one or more of these important disciplines such as law and medicine for MIT, Law for Princeton, etc.
