🏫 About the University

On May 15, 1989, Bond University welcomed its first cohort of 322 students at its brand new, state-of-the-art campus on Queensland’s Gold Coast. Modelled on the traditions of the world’s most elite educational institutions, the vision for Australia’s first private, not-for-profit university was to provide an exclusive educational experience of the highest international standards, under the tutelage of the country’s leading academics.

Bond believe education goes beyond the classroom. The University's unique Beyond Bond program will expand the students' horizons with internships, global volunteering programs, international competitions, industry conferences, study tours, community service and much, much more.

At Bond, students will not become just another member in the background. Students are always visible. The lecturers will know you, your tutors will invest time in you, so your learning will get the attention it deserves. It’s what sets the University apart. An individual approach to learning that makes Bond University different from the rest. And it’s why Bond produce graduates who get noticed above others.

Bond students don’t get lost in the crowd. They get personal attention. They’re visible. They stand out. Now and after they graduate.

The benefits are having a smaller class size which allows for easy access to feedback and help on projects. However, I feel that what we learn in the university sometimes doesn’t directly relate to the outside world work environment.

Caring teachers. Small classes and practical curriculum. Inclusive for special needs. International students from the pacific region and Europe. State-of-the-art technology laboratory. Great facilities to meet the different social needs of the students, including nice cafes, great library, multimedia centre, social club, auditorium and gorgeous open spaces.

The course itself is practical and useful. For example, we have some opportunities to apply for an internship, especially at the last semester, the uni will help us to find an internship. For me, I was an intern within the headquarters of the BOQ.

I found everyone here so friendly and helpful and nice, you still have to make some noise and stand up for yourself if you need help. Be pro-active about your studies, but compared to other uni’s where I did my undergrad and some electives, support is more available here at Bond. I love walking around the campus too, it’s so pretty.

There was some variation between lecturers levels and content delivery. There was some brilliant ones and then some not so brilliant ones. If you need help with anything the support is there but you have to be very proactive to seek the help/support. I truly enjoyed the ”non academic” approach of lectures and teaching methods. Loved the campus and facilities in general. Great degree to do if you’re independent, very self- motivated and non-academic person.
