The University of Panama is the first Institution of Higher Education in the country, officially recognized, founded in 1935. As such, it has played an indisputable leadership in the construction of the country. It is the national reference entity, with the largest number of professionals and experts, who have held senior positions, such as the Presidenct of the Republic. Having a presence throughout the national territory allows it to fulfill its mission of training professionals and technicians required by the Nation. Its incorporation into a considerable number of university networks and international organizations, such as UDUAL, Telescopi, La Rábida Group of Ibero-American Universities, CSUCA, among others give it the prerogative of being recognized in endogenous and exogenous latitudes.

Reaffirm the consolidation of the university as the main higher education institution in the country, a leader in the training of quality professionals, based on a high teaching profile, relevant research, links with society, innovation, internationalization, scientific, technological and humanistic production, with an accredited academic offer and a benchmark for national development, consolidated as a space for meeting and reflecting on the country.
