📖 Introduction

National Taipei University of Education (NTUE) is a university located in Daan District, Taipei, Taiwan that predominantly focuses on teacher training. It was established in 1895, at the beginning of the Japanese colonial rule of Taiwan, as the Governor-General's Taihoku Teacher's College. As internationalization is a trend in higher education worldwide in the 21st century, the National Taipei University of Education actively pursues a policy of international academic collaboration. Links with higher education institutes worldwide are formed and maintained through formal academic agreements, exchange programs, symposia, and visits. At present, the university has formal and solid academic relationships with more than fifty universities, institutions, and organizations in UK, USA, Australia, China, France, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, New Zealand, and Thailand.

Overview

National Taipei University of Education comprises three colleges, namely Education, Humanities and Arts, Science, 16 departments, and 18 graduate schools. The land capacity of the university is about 7.5 hectares, and current number of full-time faculty is 210. With a long academia history, NTUE, founded in 1896, is one of the prestige academic institutes in Taiwan. It plays an important role in the development for primary education and teacher training programs, and has been highly regarded as an essential figure of the educational service.
