📖 Introduction
Established in 1998, Monash University Malaysia is the third largest campus of Australia's largest university and the first foreign university campus in Malaysia. Students are taught by highly qualified academic staff from across the world and the same rigorous standards are applied at the campus as at other Monash campuses. As a globally-connected university, Monash University has 140 partner universities around the world, and campuses on four continents – Australia, Asia, and Europe. Students can take advantage of international mobility schemes as part of their course.

To this end, Monash have established several multidisciplinary research platforms that enable scientists in the region to work on global challenges in the following key areas: Tropical Medicine and Biology; Advanced Engineering; Global Asia in the 21st Century (GA21); Monash-Industry Palm Oil Education and Research; and a multidisciplinary health and demographic surveillance site, the South East Asian Community Observatory (SEACO).
