📖 Introduction
Lunghwa University of Science and Technology is a private university of science and technology in the Taiwanese vocational education system, originally based in Guishan District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan. In 1967, entrepreneurs Mr. Sun Fa-Min, and Mrs. Sun chose Hueilong, located at the intersection of Taipei and Taoyuan city, to establish a school. They started raising funds for a junior college. The objective of founding a junior college was to train more technicians to meet the economic development needs of the R.O.C. After two years of preparation, Lunghwa Polytechnic was approved by the MOE in November of 1969, and started recruiting students in December of the same year. The university is established in 1969, upgraded in 1998 and finally renamed Lunghwa University of Science and Technology in 2001.
Lunghwa has been established in the field of university of technology for more than forty years. In order to accommodate Lunghwa to the current education system, the institution keep inputting energy and implementing new policies. In these recent years, the university also encourage students to participate in international competitions and reward faculty who teach in creative way or endeavor after resources.
