📖 Introduction
KYU was originally established as Private Kao Yuan Junior College of Technology in 1986. In 1991, it was renamed Kao Yuan Junior College of Technology and Commerce. In 1998, it was again renamed Kao Yuan Institute of Technology. In 2005, it was finally named Kao Yuan University.
Kao Yuan University lays great emphasis on research and has and significant breakthroughs in the
fields of fundamental theory and applied technology research. The university currently have the Research and Development Center of Green Engineering, the Disaster Prevention Center. The university plans to set up a Research Center for Virtual 3D Interactivity, a Research Center for Mechelectrical optical testing, a Research Center for Telecommunications Technology. Besides, there
are, in total, 140 laboratories, 97 research rooms, 10 multimedia classrooms, along with 158
administrative staff members with qualify expertise and capable of visionary, applied issues of
studies.
