📖 Introduction
American University of Antigua (AUA) is a private, international medical school located in Antigua and Barbuda. AUA was founded in 2004 and has been a part of Manipal Education & Medical Group. The university leads the way in addressing the projected physician shortage, especially in the areas of primary care, family medicine, and internal medicine. AUA’s curriculum is taught in English, and all accepted students must be proficient in English. AUA uses a holistic admissions approach to select students with the potential for medical school success and provides them with the resources they need to obtain highly competitive residencies and move on to successful careers in medicine. Upon passing the necessary licensure exams, AUA graduates are eligible to practice medicine in all 50 U.S. states, Canada, the United Kingdom, India, and worldwide.

American University of Antigua College of Medicine (AUA) is an accredited international medical school dedicated to providing a medical education of the highest quality, with an emphasis on increasing minority representation and racial diversity in medical education and in the physician workforce. AUA has a growing network of more than 40 teaching hospital affiliates in the United States. Students also have the option of participating in clerkships in the United Kingdom, Canada, and India.
AUA has developed into a hub of international education, centred in a recently-built 150,000 sq ft and technologically advanced campus. At AUA students have access to dozens of opportunities to lead a well-rounded and rewarding educational journey. During down time students can enjoy a large outdoor amphitheater, courtyard, food court, nearby beach, athletic fields, fitness center, and a variety of student organizations and sports
