Starting Fall 2022, Fort Hays State University will offer a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) program! You will have the option to choose learning on campus or online! Our SLPA program is designed to align with national standards and provides the necessary coursework (i.e., Phonetics, Speech sound disorders, Language development, Language disorders) to apply for national certification. If you have already acquired a bachelor's degree in the field of communication sciences and disorders, or if you have taken some related courses in the past, you don’t need four years to complete it. This certification can also be added to another degree that is unrelated to communication sciences and disorders.
