Regular Chinese Course

Our Chinese Language Center offers accredited language courses for AU international students. These courses are designed based on three levels of Chinese language courses: Basic Chinese, Intermediate Chinese, and High-Intermediate Chinese. The courses are compatible with ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages) and the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). Our courses are primarily designed to help students develop their competence to converse fluently in Chinese, to study academic courses, and to acquaint themselves with Taiwanese/Chinese culture and society.

The courses are mostly conducted in a small class, enhancing thereby the interaction between both teachers and students. In addition to classroom teaching and learning, extra-curricular activities, such as speech contest, poetry reading, song contests and other forms of performance are held to enable students to apply what they have learned in class to real-life contexts.

Overview

Asia University has established various top-notch research centers that will lead the world by adopting emerging technologies. The research centers include the AI Research Center, the Center for Precision Health Research, the Eye Center, the Big Data Research Center, the Research Center of Fintech and Blockchain Technology, the Center for Prevention and Treatment of Internet Addiction, and the Edible and Medicinal Mushrooms Research Center. Furthermore, in response to the age of AI and 5G, Asia University has established the first College of Artificial Intelligence in Taiwan to boost students’ future career prospects with AI knowledge and 5G literacy. The AI experience room situated inside the Smart Library offers students a glance of smart medical services, smart homes, self-driving cars, unmanned factories, XArm, etc. 

The establishment of the Asia Museum of Modern Art is a milestone for AU. Moving forward with the perception of "Health, Caring, Innovation, and Excellence" as the motto for school operation, the university devote themselves to strengthening humanities, care, and social services by building an affiliated hospital, which they expect to be a ”health keeper” for the local society and a gateway to knowledge for students. Campus

Aisa University is well-known for its beautiful campus filled with artistic buildings, most of which were inspired by Greek or Roman architecture. The well-designed buildings have won a National Award for Outstanding Construction in 2009. Also, in 2013, the Asia University Museum of Modern Art, whose exterior design was led by the world-famous architect Mr. Tadao Ando, was elected nationally as one of the 10 prettiest Campus Scenic Spots in Taiwan.
