Humber College offers a Practical Nursing diploma program to help individuals develop the skills and knowledge needed to enter the nursing profession. The program is designed to provide the necessary theoretical and clinical education to become a qualified Registered Practical Nurse (RPN). The curriculum is based upon the standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario, and it includes courses in anatomy and physiology, nutrition, pharmacology, and mental health. Students will also gain plenty of hands-on experience in simulated lab settings and clinical placements, which will prepare them for their future roles as RPNs. Upon completion of the diploma, students are eligible to challenge the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Exam (CPNRE). Those who successfully pass the exam will be able to practice as a Registered Practical Nurse in Canada.
