The world water industry market is 2 times bigger than the market of semiconductor and shipbuilding as of 2010, and is expected to be growing continuouslt and to become the market of 1,000 billion dollars in 2025. Cultivation of professional manpower capable of coping with the growth of water industry and the change of paradigm is necessary to preoccupy the era of water in the future. For this reason, the first graduate school specialized in the field of water resources has been established in Sungkyunwan University. The entrance quota is 20 persons of master's course, 10 persons of doctor's course and total 30 persons. The government finance of annual 500 milliion won shall be supported to the Graduate School of Water Resources (GSWR) according to the MOU (Novermber, 2012) between the Sungkyunkwan University and Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
