It has a strong focus on changes that take place in contemporary societies around the world, and it is research oriented. Our students learn about contemporary theories in anthropology; how to independently conduct ethnographic research; critically reflect on the pending issues of our time; and intervene in them through public engagement. The program will prepare students for doctoral studies as well as careers in public policy, civil society and community organizing, journalism and visual media, public administration, social work, and education.
