Overview In the Environmental Biology Major, you'll receive world-class training on the biology, conservation and ecology of plants, birds and mammals, insects, fungi and microbes. Your courses will offer a foundation in endangered species conservation, environmental pollution and protected areas management. You’ll study how organisms adapt to changes in the environment and the consequences for ecosystems. You can even join in cutting-edge research on climate change and its effects on animals and ecosystems. The most critical environmental challenges we face today involve biologists with specialized knowledge of human impacts on species and ecosystems. Through training in environmental biology, you can make a difference. This major must be taken with at least one specialization.
