The Bachelor of Arts degree in art history provides students with a thorough grounding in the liberal arts and humanities, with a concentration of coursework in art history that instills general knowledge of art of the past and of various cultures; familiarity with the tools and techniques of research; and understanding of the criteria for assessing the quality of scholarship and criticism. Courses and opportunities to intern in museums and galleries equip students with the knowledge, skills and theoretical foundation to gain employment in museums, galleries art centers and other cultural organizations.
