The practical focus of the program is supported by Discovery Hall, UNK’s 90,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art STEM facility which opened in August 2020. Discovery Hall gives computer science students access to cutting-edge technology, modern classrooms and interactive lab spaces that allow their ideas to flourish. The Applied Computer Science program is designed primarily for students who want to seek employment after graduation rather than pursuing graduate school. Students pair this major with a secondary interest in any of 80+ minors such as graphic design, business, or networking.
