The Norwegian University of Science and Technology is a public research university in Norway with the main campus in Trondheim and smaller campuses in Gjøvik and Ålesund. The largest university in Norway, NTNU has over 8,000 employees and thousands of students. NTNU is a young institution with a long history. The university, in its current form, was established in 1996 by the merger of six research and higher education institutions in Trondheim. The university's root goes back to 1760, with the foundation of Det Trondhiemske Selskab (Trondheim Academy), which in 1767 became the Royal Norwegian Society of Sciences and Letters.

NTNU has a main profile in science and technology, a variety of programmes of professional study, and great academic breadth that also includes the humanities, social sciences, economics, medicine, health sciences, educational science, architecture, entrepreneurship, art disciplines and artistic activities.

📚About the Program

Master’s in Global Health at Norwegian University of Science and Technology

The master's programme has small classes, focused groups and direct engagement with the faculty. This stimulates a good study environment. The students contribute to the interdisciplinary environment with their different educational backgrounds, research and field experiences and perspectives from across the globe and across the disciplines. Master's thesis projects are designed and offered in multidisciplinary research teams, focusing on current challenges that are defining the world around us. They range from refugee health to use of mobile technology for maternal health, domestic violence to improved kits for pregnancy. In the end, our environment enables students to learn from the instructors and their peers to create new knowledge for a better and healthy world. The MSc in Global Health is a full-time programme of study. The length of study is two years (four semesters). It is not advisable to combine this programme of study with a full-time job. Show less

Experts in Teamwork - Intensive
Priority of Experts in Teamwork (EiT) have to be done between 1 October and 1 November. If you do not do this by the deadline you will not be allowed to attend the course next semester.

To choose a village (course) in Experts in Teamwork :
Put 5 courses in priority order. Save your priorities. You can only choose up to 3 villages offered by your own faculty. Be aware that some villages might have an English title, but still use Norwegian as the teaching language.
The faculty may determine spesific rules for choosing villages. If you can't find any EiT villages in StudentWeb please contact your faculty.

You can go into your individual education plan and change the courses/priorities until the deadline expires on 1 November.
A while after this date your village will be in your individual education plan just like your other courses. Your course registration is now done, but you have to do the examination registration yourself.

Entry Requirements

You are not eligible to apply to this program because:

The minimum age is 18.

English fluency is required.
You need to be either:
- A native English speaker
- Studied in English at high school or a degree
- Have passed IELTS level 6.5 or TOEFL 95 or above.

Minimum education level: Bachelor's.

The program is competitive, you need to have a high grades of Average A, 70%, or a high GPA.

Application process:

Applying Online is simple in just a few steps. More information is available here.

The first steps are to choose the programs, pay the application fee and upload the application documents.

Once submitted to Global Admissions, we will review your application within 2-3 days and proceed to the university or ask you for further clarification

After it has been processed to the university you will receive your unique application ID from each university.

The university may contact you directly for further questions.

We will then follow up each week with the university for updates. As soon as there is any update we will let you know. If you have made other plans, decide to withdraw / change address at any time please let us know.

After you have been accepted you will receive your admissions letter electronically and asked to pay the non-refundable deposit to the university.

Once you have paid the deposit the university will issue you the admissions letter and visa form to your home country.
