RESEARCH WORK
Thesis (48 credits)
"The thesis is a written presentation of work carried out in a field of research, creation or intervention. It makes an original and significant contribution to the advancement of knowledge in a field of research, creation or It makes it possible to demonstrate a person's ability to carry out research, creation or intervention independently." (Regulation article 186, page 53)
The advancement of knowledge in question here can lead to applications in intervention or to new methods of intervention in psychology or to the advancement of theoretical knowledge.
In his work, the student must demonstrate his competence to describe a problem, make an appropriate and recent review of the scientific writings related to his study, use a rigorous method in accordance with scientifically recognized criteria with regard to the problem studied and its objective, carry out the appropriate analyzes and complete all the steps necessary to carry out its study.
The thesis can be presented in traditional form or in the form of an article. In either case, it is a work of which the student must be the first craftsman. It can be carried out as part of a larger research program. In the realization of his project, the student must experiment and concretize the various stages of a scientific work and be able to account for the choices, the contents and the results specific to each stage of realization.
