Project details This project will investigate the causes of task failure during a range of exercise tasks, including cycle ergometry, isometric and isokinetic dynamometry, and running.
A range of non-invasive techniques will be used to monitor the physiological responses to exhaustive exercise, including breath-by-breath gas exchange, electromyography, neuromuscular stimulation, and pedal force and ground reaction force measurements.
The aim of these experiments is to develop a robust set of criteria that can be used worldwide to determine the proximal cause of failure during common exercise tests (Cardiopulmonary Exercise Tests, CPET; neuromuscular fatigue tests; tests used in performance prediction, such as the power-duration relationship).

After you have been accepted you will receive your admissions letter electronically and asked to pay the non-refundable deposit to the university.
Once you have paid the deposit the university will issue you the admissions letter and visa form to your home country.
