📚About the Program

Non-degree in Civil Engineer : Technology and Architecture at Malmo University

If you look over the horizon and look at everything that man has created, you will see things that civil engineers have been involved in. We civil engineers build houses and homes, roads, bridges and ports. We also make sure that what is built lasts and is functional. We choose materials and technical solutions with great responsibility for a sustainable society and quality of life for those who live or work in our buildings. What we create leaves an impression on many generations. As a construction engineer, a range of exciting employers and interesting professional roles await. For example, you can immerse yourself in advanced strength calculations, create healthy and pleasant indoor environments or lead complex construction projects. You can become a consultant, building contractor or manager. In our industry there is a place for everyone. In order to enjoy our courses, we believe that you must have an interest and an aptitude for subjects such as mathematics and physics, but also for describing and visualizing. You probably like working together with other engineers, architects and other actors in the construction process. Specialization Technology and architecture The Civil Engineer education has been developed in close cooperation with the industry. It has three specializations that reflect actors in the construction process: Technology and architecture (the architectural consultant), Construction technology (the technical consultant), and Project and production management (the contractor). The specialization Technology and architecture is aimed at those who are particularly interested in the relationship between architectural form and aesthetics, technical possibilities and limitations as well as sustainable solutions. For example, it can be about how construction technology affects architecture, but also how to use digital modeling and visualization. All specializations lead to a higher education engineering degree in construction technology. The program is the same during the specialization's first two years. The orientation courses are read during the third year. Show less
