The Bachelor's program in Global Management of Social Issues integrates knowledge from three academic fields in the social sciences: human resource studies, organization studies, and sociology, from a cross-cultural and international comparative perspective.

Program structure and content
In the first year you will take a number of introductory courses to get an initial understanding of the background, nature and causes of wicked problems.
In the second year you will further expand and deepen your knowledge of wicked problems.
In the third year, you will integrate the theoretical knowledge in practice during an (international) internship or project.
First Year Content
The first year starts with various introductory courses into the social sciences: human resource studies, organization studies and sociology. These subjects will help you to gain a solid foundation in the background, nature and causes of wicked problems.

Third Year Content
The main goal of the third year is the practical integration of the acquired knowledge and insights. You can choose to do an internship or a project at a relevant (international) organization, study abroad for six months or choose to take extra courses (minor). In addition, you will write your Bachelor's thesis to complete this program.

Study abroad: going on exchange
We encourage all students to gain international experience. A popular and very exiting option is to go abroad on exchange. As an exchange student, you study at one of the many international partner universities of Tilburg University, typically for one semester.

The Study Abroad & Exchange Office of Tilburg University will be available to help you research the opportunities within your study program and a dedicated Study Abroad & Exchange Coordinator will be advising you before, during and after your exchange.

Most students will be eligible for a grant or scholarship to financially support them during their exchange experience. Additional grants for students with special needs or a difficult financial situation are also available.

Entry Requirements

You are not eligible to apply to this program because:

The minimum age is 18.

English fluency is required.
You need to be either:
- A native English speaker
- Studied a degree in English before
- Can demonstrate a high level of English
- Having an English certificate such as IELTS level 6 or TOEFL 95 and above is an advantage.

Minimum education level: High School.

The program is competitive, you need to have a high grades of Average A, 70%, or a high GPA.

Application process:

Applying Online is simple in just a few steps. More information is available here.

The first steps are to choose the programs, pay the application fee and upload the application documents.

Once submitted to Global Admissions, we will review your application within 2-3 days and proceed to the university or ask you for further clarification

After it has been processed to the university you will receive your unique application ID from each university.

The university may contact you directly for further questions.

We will then follow up each week with the university for updates. As soon as there is any update we will let you know. If you have made other plans, decide to withdraw / change address at any time please let us know.

After you have been accepted you will receive your admissions letter electronically and asked to pay the non-refundable deposit to the university.

Once you have paid the deposit the university will issue you the admissions letter and visa form to your home country.
