This course aims to provide students with information about the inner structure of words and enable them to enlarge their vocabulary and make use of what they learn in teaching English The course covers the topics: the analysis of the relationship of the semantics and discourse relationship development of the vocabulary teaching skill by means of the approach of integrated language skills; the study of different forms of English vocabulary word formation processes and figuring out different meanings of words in changing contexts; elements of vocabulary teaching in the classroom and various text types that can be used in class resources such as dictionary and corpus and effective vocabulary teaching techniques This course also focuses on teaching and learning strategies that support students' vocabulary learning
