📖Program Curriculum
The degree in Management and Leadership is designed specifically to provide students with the ability to work and research, with increased independence, through exposure to theories, models and approaches to management and leadership. Students will also be exposed to knowledge of how to shape solutions and strategies for particular management and leadership scenarios and, to think in a creative manner in order to develop creative and nuanced solutions and outcomes to given issues and problems. The modules contained within this programme use a wide range of teaching and learning approaches.
Lectures are supplemented by group discussions and group problem solving exercises in order to consolidate learning and apply theory in to a range of simulated business environments.
The leadership project at Level 6 encourages students to work within an organisation in order to apply their research work in to a real-life setting. A significant amount of work will be required by the students through independent learning and self-study. Also, students will have their learning supplemented by the Moodle VLE where key texts and research papers will be available for them to use. The Programme team led by the Programme Director will provide strategic leadership and direction to the programme and the team will take responsibility to act as Personal Tutor to student groups by providing pastoral support to each student.
