Bow Valley College is a public, board-governed college operating as a comprehensive community institution under the Post-Secondary Learning Act of Alberta. Bow Valley College has been a student-centered community college since 1965, assisting students in achieving their career objectives. It provides a low-cost education with an 88 percent graduate employment rate.

The College emphasizes on small classes, applied learning, focused work experience, and extensive learner support services.
