📖Program Curriculum
This innovative and progressive Management with Human Resource Management degree takes students from an understanding of the key management and people issues through to an advanced knowledge of leadership and human resource development in modern organisations. It incorporates people management employee relations reward motivation innovation cross-cultural talent and diversity management employment legislation and the use of human resource metrics and analytics. You will see how leadership teamwork and organizational change contribute to positive organisational outcomes.
This Management with Human Resource Management degree focusses on a range of businesses including start-ups small and medium sized companies in the creative digital high tech biosciences tourism hospitality and other industrial sectors through to organisations in the government (public)and not-for-profit sector.
What will you study on this course?
In Year 1 students will take 80 credits from the following topics Introduction to Contemporary Management Issues in Ethics Sustainability HRM and Tourism Introduction to the Employee Life-cycle and Principles of Management and Organisation. There are also optional modules available in topics such as Business Analytics and Foundations of Marketing. Students can also choose optional modules from other Business School level 4 modules or from elsewhere in the University subject to timetabling constraints.
In Year 2 students will take 80 credits from the following topics Management Planning and Coordination Operations Strategy across the Enterprise and Principles of Leadership and Employee Engagement. There are also optional modules available in topics such as Business Information Systems Law for Business and Marketing Research and CRM. Students can also choose optional modules from other Business School level 5 modules or from elsewhere in the University subject to timetabling constraints and pre-requisites.
In Year 3 students will take 80 credits from topics such as International Business & Global Competency. There are also optional modules available in topics such as Corporate Governance Enterprise Creativity and Innovation and Strategic Management. Students can also choose optional modules from other Business School level 6 modules or from elsewhere in the University subject to timetabling constraints and pre-requisites.
